Shots On Goal - Oilers 30 Maple Leafs 30

Game Notes:
- Tough loss for the Oilers to take because it was the style of game they wanted to play. The Leafs beat them at their own game. The outskated, outsmarted, and outgoaltended the Oilers tonight and were full marks for the win. The Oilers defense had a very poor game. They look like bullfighters out there, giving it the big Ole! Had all kinds of issues dealing with their speed. The way the Leafs played tonight is the way I wished the Oilers would play on the whole. Attacking from the wings with speed, having centers and defense follow up the play and jump in when necessary. The Oilers didn't get much from their defense, defensively or offesively. Jeff Petry had a nice game from the backend, other than that, not much. The Oilers just could not keep up with the Leafs tonight, and thats more disappointing than anything. Back to the drawing board. I would expect Andy Sutton back in the lineup next game, either in for Barker or Potter who were dastardly.

Player of the Game:
- Jordan Eberle. Easily the best player tonight. Has been all year. Any offense beiong created tonight was coming off his blade. Eberle finishes plays. Two more tonight goals tonight, brings him to 24 on the year. 30+ isn't out of the question for Eberle this year. It will be interesting to
see what the final total will be.

Goat of the Game:
- Cam Barker. Too many passengers tonight. Lots of bad games. Could have picked on Potter, Smyth, Hemsky or RNH as well. Cam Barker looked like a turnstile out there, getting beat wide at will. At some point you just have to push someone over ar haul someone down. Letting line rushes just happen isn't the way to go. Like I tweeted earlier, if you are going to suck, at least be physical. Welp, Barker sucked and he was not physical. There were a lot of players tonight that looked like they wanted to be doing something other than playing hockey tonight.

Next Game - Wednesday February 8, 2012 vs. Red Wings @ Detroit on TSN 5:30 PM MT.
