Shots On Goal - Oilers 34 Blackhawks 36

Game Notes:
- Sometimes hockey is just a difficult game to understand. The Oilers had themselves an out of body experience tonight. Going up against the best team in the Western Conference, the Oilers were on a 4 game losing streak, but laid the boots on the Blackhawks tonight, 9-2. The Oilers were flying tonight, Chicago looked real sluggish. The Oilers scored 48 seconds into the game and really never looked back. So what can you take from a game like this? The power play looked confident tonight, really hellbent on executing plays. All of the kids played well tonight, they made more hay apart than they made together, which is something the coaching staff may have stumbled upon. The defense undermanned, really held up tonight. The pairing of Peckham and Petry had an out of this world type game, each going +5 tonight. They both took a step forward tonight and need to bring that type of game consistantly. Peckham played tough and within his means and Petry was dishing and dealing all night from the backend, he looked real comfortable with the puck tonight. I'm sure the lines are going to be together for a bit considering chemistry tonight. I still think they could stand to be tweaked a bit more, but one thing is for certain, spread the kids out through the lineup. They will expose someone that way.

Player of the Game:
- Taylor Hall. I hummed and hawed over this one for awhile, but decided on Hall. How can you pass up on the kid that got a hat trick and was a line rush machine tonight. He was testing the Blackhawk defense all night and beat them in a lot of battles. Hall was getting stringer as the game went on and looks to have found some of his lost mojo. Eberle, The Nuge, Petry and Peckham, Tom Gilbert all had real strong nights tonight.

Goat of the Game:
- Ben Eager. It wasn't his type of game tonight, it was more run and gun, but Ben Eager hasn't been himself all year. Ben Eager was a player brought in to be robust and in your face. He has brought very little of that so far. I'm hoping he finds himself real soon, perhaps give him a tag team partner in Darcy Hordichuk.

Next Game - Monday November 21, 2011 vs. Stars at Dallas on Sportsnet Oilers 6:30 PM MT.
